Rius ignored the mad pounding of his heart as he neared the room he was almost positive Luri would be in. I’ll figure it out when I get there.

He turned the doorknob and pushed it open, forgetting to breathe. “Luri!”

“WAHH!” Crash!

The boy looked up, clutching his chest in fright from underneath the pile of the prince’s new armor. “Oh…my…GOD! Are you trying to kill me?!” He gasped angrily.

Rius blinked at the jumbled mess, not making a move to help him. “So you were in here. Doing exactly what I thought you were doing.”

Luri looked away with a snort. “And what was that?”

“Polishing my armor.”

“No I wasn’t!” He scoffed. “Why would I be doing that?”

The prince glanced at the cloth lying on the table. “I have no idea,” he murmured.

Luri followed his gaze and blushed. “I—I was bored.”

But Rius wasn’t listening. “Are you really stuck under there?”

Luri waved his arms comically. “Why do you think I haven’t gotten up and run out yet?” He asked, glaring.

“Good point,” Rius agreed, walking towards him.

Luri held out his hand, expecting to be helped up from underneath the heavy metal armor.

But the prince ignored his outstretched hand completely and bent forward, pressing his lips against Luri’s.

He broke away and looked at the confused boy seriously. “You need to stop running away like that. It’s annoying to have to chase you all of the time. Although…it’s not too hard to find you—WAH!”

Luri sighed, his hand wrapped around Rius’s wrist, the latter splayed on the hard floor on his back. “If you’re going to do that could you at least get me up from underneath your armor.”

He was surprised to suddenly hear the prince laughing hysterically. “What’s so funny?” He asked, his face red. He was still trying to process what had happened and Rius was laughing?

But he shook his head, lifting the metal suit off of the servant boy and set it on the table where it had been before he’d burst through the door. “Nothing, I just—” He smiled lightly in surprise. “Hey, guess what?” He took the confused Luri’s wrists with his hands and shook them up and down excitedly. “I love you.”

Luri’s mouth went agape, his chocolate eyes wide as Rius grinned at him like a moron. “Oh. Well…”

He slipped his hands out from Rius’s grip and placed them on either side of the prince’s face. “…In that case…”
